View Full Version : How to make a section of a post visible only for members ?

Hi All,

Is there a way/mod that can make a section of a post visible only for members ?

I mean, the guests should be able to view the posts, but a particular section of post should be hidden and a message should be displayed "Please Register & Login to view this part of posting."

If they login to the forum, then they should be able to view all the information of posts normally.

Yes this is possible. Admin CP > Forums & Moderators > Forum Permissions

Here you can edit user group permissions. Click edit then you will see a whole host of options. Now for the second part, to see a certain message, I am not sure of. But i do know that you can hide certain forums for members only.

I don't want to hide a forum / post. I want to hide some part of the post (Lets say- a particular paragraph) from guests and make it visible only for members.

You mean like they do here, with coding. You have to be a member to see coding on these vbulletins. Well lets hope a someone with more skill than us, will help us out.
