View Full Version : Removing Templates

I've got a couple mods that I've tried out, but decided not to use. Unfortunately, after removing the mod, the templates they installed are left behind. Is there any way to remove these things? They're not hurting anything necessarily, but I like to keep things clean when possible.

I tried the "revert" thing I've seen in some threads, but that only seems to apply to custom templates (shown in red) rather than mod-installed templates (shown in gray).

How did you uninstall the modification? They should automatically be removed (the author doesn't even have to put any code in, vBulletin should automatically do it).

Uninstalled through the Products Manager. Most of the time you're right - the templates have been removed correctly. I just noticed today that there were two left behind. I even reinstalled the add-ons and uninstalled again, but the templates are still there.

What are the products with residual templates? (I actually quite like that phrase I just made up. :D)

Are these templates in the Master Style?

If so, turn on debug mode, 'revert' these templates in the master style and they should be removed. Now disable debug mode again.

The "Admin log in as user (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=168819)" and "AJAX - Advanced Forum Statistics (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=198791)" mods were the ones causing problems.

Excellent - that took care of it. I didn't realize you had to turn on debug mode to get to the master style. Thanks!
