I am wanting to feed the latest 10 or so posts onto my forums front page, its the website, and the coding to the website is done in, php, html, div, and css... if this matters at all.. So can anyone explain to me or lead me where I can find out how to do this?

Alternatively since your page is already in php, you could create a SQL query for getting the latest posts.
