private message disable after limited amount ..

i want to know how can i disable members private message inbox after he/she send 2 pm or 3 pm .

reason i want to do this is that members register and use private to promote others site soo if is it possible please let me know

Use the promotion system. Disable PM's for new users while after X posts user gets moved to a new usergroup and then can send PM's.

The OP wants PMs to be disabled after sending X PMs. You cannot achieve this with the promotions system.

However, if you are going to do that, why not just disable the PM system altogether?

Can you disable private messaging for a certain member? I don't think it's possible because they can just go back to user options and change it. Well how about I create a new usergroup with pms disabled and I can just put those members who sent out pm with their site advertisement in that usergroup.... is that possible?
