Hi, i'm looking for hack (or guide what i need to edit), that hides deletion notices for Moderators and Supermoderators.
And no, the settings "Can See Deletion Notices" have no effect on Moderators and Supermoderators, because they always can see Deletion Notices.
I asked on vBulletin forum and they sent me here
Here is my thread: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296626
So, can anyone help me with that?
THX a LOT

Moderators at my forum have requested the exact same thing, they know what those notices mean, but it would be faster to moderate a forum without a lot of those intercalated notices. Thanks ...

Did you read my post and the thread at the link what i posted?
Once again:
And no, the settings "Can See Deletion Notices" have no effect on Moderators and Supermoderators, because they always can see Deletion Notices.
And vBulletin tech support confirmed that and say i need a mod for this settings. Please read .
That is the only permission for it:
Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager -> Edit Usergroup -> Can See Deletion Notices
Make sure this is disabled for their primary and secondary usergroups.
Like i said, this option i set to "NO" (viz attach), but they still can see deletion notices (i test it on my test account and it is true). Moderators and Supermoderators don't have secondary usergroup, just the primary.
I just tested this and you are right. It seems moderators can always view deletion notices. That actually makes sense.
So, is there ANY chance to DISABLE it for supermoderators and moderators? My moderators are rly confused by the deleted messages (deletion notices), because we migrate from phpBB to vBulletin and this is rlly obtrusive thing for my mod.
And like i said, i don't want delete posts physicaly, because this is one (of the milion ) thing what i like on vBulletin. Delete messages so users can't see it and they think posts are gone, but if any problems come, i can un-delete messages and problem is solved
Thanks for your answer

EDIT: And moving individual posts to some "trash" section is crazy.
You can do it with custom code. But you would have to ask on [url]www.vbulletin.org (]THIS[/url) for help with that.
So i am here

Yes I would like this as well.... I keep everything and there are things the mods don't need to see once they are removed.

I don't know off hand if there's a better way, but if you open forumdisplay.php and look for this:
// filter out deletion notices if can't be seen
if ($forumperms & $vbulletin->bf_ugp_forumpermissions['canseedelnotice'] OR can_moderate($foruminfo['forumid']))
{
$canseedelnotice = true;
$deljoin = "LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX . "deletionlog AS deletionlog ON(thread.threadid = deletionlog.primaryid AND deletionlog.type = 'thread')";
}
And remove
OR can_moderate($foruminfo['forumid'])
That should do it.
I suggest waiting for somebody to confirm that there's no better way to do this though before ripping out code.
