Can I change the vBulletin License ID on a Running Board?

I am running a board at the moment under 1 license that my friend allowed me to use.

That leased license is soon up, and I am renewing my own Owned License and want to use my vBulletin License ID on my board.

When I updated to 3.8, I still needed to use his ID. Is there anyway I can change it to mine without needing to have a new install?

You need to post at vbulletin.com pertaining to license questions.

Just overwrite all the files with your new ones when you purchase your license.
