Usergroup Problems

I am trying to create a secondary usergroup which people must apply to join, where we have to approve them before they are a member of that group

How do I do that?

I have created a secondary group, but when they go into group memberships, they are added automatically.

This is an over 18 usergroup so this can't be allowed to happen.

Go to edit the usergroup and set Public Joinable Custon Usergroup to Yes and then on the Usergroup Manager screen Add a Usergroup Leader to it in the drop down and then they will have to get approved.

I had everything set up apart from the usergroup leaders
