I just recently upgraded my forums to 3.8 and now, when someone tries to register for a new account, this message comes up-
You answered the NoSpam! question incorrectly. Please reevaluate your answer or, if you found yourself unable to answer it, you can refresh for another question if the administrator has enabled multiple questions. If you find yourself repeatedly unable to answer the NoSpam! questions, please contact the forum administration.
This will come up regardless of what method of "Human Verification" I choose. It even comes up when I disable the human verification feature.
Ultimately, I do want the human verification feature on. Does anyone know how I can fix it?
Thanks!
Lynne

How about disabling your NoSpam modification? Maybe it isn't working correctly with your site now that you've upgraded.

I did and it's still giving that message and the registration process ends at that point.

Then you need to post in the modification thread for help. That is an error from a modification.

In 3.8, there is already a built in Q&A verification feature. This makes NoSpam! not as useful as before, and isn't really needed unless you need the extra features or a Q&A verification and some other human verification.

I created a Q&A, then tested it. Still, I get this message-

It happens with EVERY option, even when I choose "disable."
Should I be posting this somewhere else?
Thanks

To troubleshoot this, please remove any hacks and disable your plugins, then see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.
If your problem still exists, please create a new Style with no Parent set. Now browse the forum using this new style, do you still have the same problems? If you are troubleshooting login or guest issues, you will need to set this style as board default in the vBulletin Options.
