Strongly Recommended:
If using this style I highly recommend replacing your vb default icons and smilies! The default icons that come with vbulletin are just not good enough for darker skins. I am using a couple sets from tommyturnage (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/member.php?find=lastposter&t=178142)

Here is an example of what it looks like and what your icons can look like:

I'm not sure I understand the question;
did you upload the bi2 folder to your /forums directory? Or are you saying you can't upload the images?

To install this skin on your site follow these steps:
1. Upload the bi2 folder to your /forums directory.

2. Log into your vBulletin Admin Control Panel.

3. Expand the "Styles & Templates" drop-down on the left side and click "Download / Upload Styles"

4. In the "Import Style XML file" section, click the choose file button. Navigate to the bi2.xml file and select it.

5. Make sure "Merge into style" box is set to "Create New Style". Set a title and display order and allow user selection if you want to make the skin public.

6. Click import.

Depends on several things with vba, I have it up and I reduced my display to 1024x768 and I have no issues with it, I attached a screen.
What's your settings in vBa CMPS>Style Options?
The other place I can think of to check is the adv_portal_module_wrapper template

Yeah, that is big :) you could lower the font size and see if that is the case.
It's in the "Additional CSS Definitions" > .titlefont > font-size: 24pt;

There was an issue with the header but it was fixed and re-upped , you may need to grab the latest version and try it.

Glad you like the style, I am looking into what would cause the nav buttons to align left. Do you have any other code in your header? Or can you pm me your site so I can have a look?

And yeah. I had to make it fluid to work, I thought it was a fixed style, so yeah..

I had to make it 100% instead of the 825px thing.

Buttons PSD would rock man, I could make buttons and add to this skin as I really like it.

Updating Style Images Manually:
If it is the buttons/logo/status icons/etc that you are having a problem with, go to your Style Manager in your Admin CP. From there, select 'All Style Options' next to the style you are having a problem with. On that page you will see a list of image paths. Make sure that all of the paths there contain the full URL to each directory.
Example: http://yoursite.com/forums/images/buttons or /forums/images/buttons

Note: that some styles may use the replacement variables system. If your image paths are prefixed with something like {if}/images/buttons, scroll to the bottom of the page to the 'Replacement Variables' section. Update the URL for the replacement variable you saw in your image paths so that it points to the full URL to that folder.
Example: http://yoursite.com/forums/images/ or /forums/images/

If some of your background images are missing, scroll farther down this page and look for any CSS classes that have something like this for the 'Background' section:

Sorry RedHacker I don't understand your post. You saw a member button on my forum and it's not the same? In the download there is a nav_members.gif that is no longer used as vB 3.8.0 added the member's list in the "Community" code. I think that's what your asking, if not then i am lost :)

That image was for the member list. It is not used anymore since the code is now stuffed into the "Community" button. But, if you want a separate member button you could add it up...it wont hurt anything.

I have just upgraded from 3.7.2 to 3.8.1 and installed the skin "by the book" following all the info but it seems that something is misaligned. Please check the attached picks, top and bottom. the right side edge does not appear.

Yes it is, I appreciate you asking :) That image can be replaced with your logo, the middle stretches so it will be more difficult to replace but can be done with the right banner.

im having majour problems trying to do the header, can anyone help?

i have some text that has a transparent background, that i wish just to sit centered on the header, ihave tried all sorts but cant get the code to work properly.

Yes, the transparent image will probably need to be resized to fit the center section. Glad it works for you :)

sorry really need your help. i have had to change the logo code within the header template, in order for me to try and have my own fixed header, just one piece, not the original 3, but it is causing me a majour headache, probably because im not very good with code LOL.

sorry really need your help. i have had to change the logo code within the header template, in order for me to try and have my own fixed header, just one piece, not the original 3, but it is causing me a majour headache, probably because im not very good with code LOL.

So here is my current code

I have a couple of questions.

First, I can't seem to figure out how to change some of the column widths on the Forum. I'd like to make the "Last Post" column wider than it is. I thought it was in a template, Forum display template, but I can't seem to remember if that is correct or not.

And second. I love the Nav buttons, but I am horrible with graphics. I saw some had made a couple of buttons, and I'd like to request a few if possible. If they don't get made, it's no big deal.

I was looking for 5 total, if possible.

One with a clock on it..like regular analog clock.

One with a dogbone on it.

One with a Dollar sign?

One to represent a chatroom..

And one that has like a graph on it.

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help me out. Thanks again.

Well, this one is driving me crazy..I tried to match the settings, though the code is a bit different between the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost and forumhome_forumbit_level1_post. Nothing ever changed though.

the thread lists columns never moved, no matter what I put in. And the sub-forum list at the top, I could only seem to manipulate the Forum title box by moving the title over to the right. The columns never moved or widened.

Love this theme however i cannot get it to show on my vbadvanced page, It shows just fine on the forums page but not on my homepage {cmps_index.php}.

Ive tried deleting the style and re-uploading it but to no avail.

In your adminCP.. CMPS settings, then Edit pages.

if your like me, you have one page set up, the default. When you go into edit that, you can change the Custom Style for that page. Possibly your board is set to use another style by default, thus your CMPS will use that still as well..

The only thing I can see is that when you divide up the sections it probably needs to equal 100% for the table.

All i did, was take one currently codes and copy/paste. Then edit the path for the image and url for the page on my site.

To get those images to show up on your Portal I assume CMPS 2.0, I do not know if its the same for anything higher. You will need to do this.

AdminCP/CMPS settings/ Default settings.

And you will need to do this for all the images in this style to show up properly.

Type in bi2 into the boxes next to Header Replacements, Navbar replacements and Footer replacements.

I am sure hoof can elaborate and fill in anything I am missing here.

Im having a real headache trying to get a dropdown menu to work and have been sitting here for ages trying to get it to work.

What i need is a drop down menu from the menu image like i already have on my main theme {screenshot attached}

I just cant seem to get it to work when doing this through the header template.

This is a good idea and i sort of have it working BUT....... if there ar no posts within 15 minutes and you select '' post within last 15 minutes'' from the drop down, instead of giving you the '' there are no posts to display'' message( the standard VB message) it shows post from the last few days, which isn't realy correct, are you able to sort this? and this happens if there are no ost in any of the drop downs you want

So you need a nav_newpost image with the white text? For the coding just add where ever you want it to go :) Have the Home button go home and the Forum button go to the Forum URL. You just need to fix the url in the code.

For the "Popup" menu controls to work, you need to put that part of the code in the Navbar template.

Here's a good embedded way to do it, if you follow the community example:

You would need to go through the templates and remove the code for it, I wouldn't recommend it though. It contains the table that holds forum, lastpost, replies.

Hey hoof, I hate to bother you..but I am having a small issue with this style, when viewing it in IE. Driving me nuts! lol

I will post screenshots to better explain, but basically my logo gets moved when shrinking the browser in IE, but not in FF. It cannot be the screen resolution, because i have tried it on a laptop with 1024x768 and it renders fine in FF. My monitor is 1280x1024.

It's like IE cannot shrink the forums width to fit, at 100%..in FF you can resize the browser and it moves perfectly.

I have tried sifting thru the code in the header template, tried diferent things, and nothing seems to correct it.

I do notice a line, that goes from side to side in IE. You don't see this in FF, but the page renders great in FF. it seems this line maybe the culprit, but I cannot find it anywhere in the code. Possibly something missing under neath the images that create the header banner across?

Maybe you can take a look and see if you see something that I have been missing. I do appreciate it.

Hard to say, but I am certain it is something above the buttons. When I get a chance I'll take a closer look. Have I told you how much I dislike IE lol.

Take a look at everything above the navbar buttons, it may be something that was added affecting the display.

my suggestion, create a child style of your default and then merge this one into it, that should then take on all relevant template edits/changes :-)

Yes, for those to work they need to be in "forums/images/icons" They replace the default icons. So where ever your images/icons folder is that is where they'll need to go.

It's picking up the name of your site from the header template:

Hi Ed,
You can do this in the "All Style Options" > Scroll to "Body (Customized in this Style)"
- Look for the Font colors for links...should have (80909c) as the value. You can make these whatever you like, it will change all links on your board. In the "Text Decoration" right underneath add "none" to remove the underline.

I love this style. For some reason, users are able to edit each other's posts. I've checked all the settings, and I know it's not a usergroup privilege issue. Can anyone help with this?
