Moving posts

Hello,

I hope that someone can help me or tell me the solution to this problem,

I am trying to move old posts from one forum to another forum

For example I want to move posts that are older than 6 months from posting date, to another forum.

I have tried to do it with the move function in the cp and it does work, but I want them to be moved automatically after a certain date.

I am sure there is a way to do this?

It's just a cron job. You can write a scheduled task to do it. I have seen mods to automatically close threads at a certain time, so you could easily take that mod and modify it to move them instead. (At least, it sounds like it would be easy to change - or just write it from scratch.)
