Yes I would also like to know if this stops showing after member agreed or if it's something that shows every time?

Now this hack would be perfect if you had the option to change it so the user had to agree to the agreement to view the forum. Especially usefull for adult type forums.

How can we put the agreement form under or over the Post Icons box or Over the message editor?

Please consider to let moderators edit the text of the agreement.

I have been looking for a hack similar to this for years, one that actually works :)

As mentioned the ideal way for this to work is that users enter a forum and upon on their first visit are met with a a series of rules specific to that forum.

My forums are all about TV but we have a very heated and argumentative Politics forum that really needs a specific set of rules.

An ability for this hack to work as mentioned above so that you only have to agree when first viewing, it would get a little annoying for users when they have to agree every time the make a post. I would love to have this features as it is something that would be very useful to me and I am sure many others.

Was it clarified if this is an agreement for every new post?

Its a pretty pointless mod if thats the case.

Not if the user is posting in a specific section. Such as help, and he doesn't own the legal game.

This is almost what im looking for!

I want to use a mod like this in my classified section. When a member lists something to sell they must agree to certain terms. Is there anyway this can be modified to only work with the first post and also show the agreement at the bottom of the first post?

I think its for every new thread.

Just added this and noticed that it places "$threadmanagement" in edit post and new reply. I have removed it from new reply since i only want it to effect creation of new threads not people replying to the thread. Will this work - I am testing now.

got it - I understand it now. thanks

Hi,
this very good mod, only two steps to make it better and user-freindley:
1. the placement of "the agreement" is where no body look at, could you please put it "ABOVE message area" or "Right underneath it" ? in order to be seen.
2. the word "I Agree" seems not properly phrased ? I changed it in the phrase but didn't change in the new thread page ?

Thanks,,
