Help With Updating (Mainly Database Changing)

I am looking to update my forums to 3.8 but I am inexperienced with this and would like someone's help. We do not have someone on the staff that is experienced with updating the forums, so does anyone know where I could get help? I'm not really sure if it's safe to find someone random off of these forums...

After going through the walk through it seems pretty easy. The one thing I don't get is changing and switching data bases. How do I go about doing that?

Following the manual on Upgrading vBulletin (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/upgrade) is the way to go. The procedure is fairly easy, you might be surprised with how easy it is to upgrade at the end of the process.

Okay. I think I am going to go ahead and do that.... But the only part I don't get is database changing. The manual doesn't seem to talk about that much.

You don't need to touch anything on the database. Any alterations of the database are done by the upgrade script, and is fully automated.
