Need help with a homepage?

I need help with how to add a homepage. I can design it no prob, but need to know how to make my site go to it first. I don't have my forum under www.domain.com/forum it is under www.domain.com/index.php how do I change it to be under /forums and where and how do I upload my homepage and make it the first page to be showed? Thanks in advance for the support.

In vb options,Site Name / URL / Contact Details,Homepage URL

So when I do this instead of my main site coming up it will be my new homepage I have made? and people can follow the links from there?

I want to have diff pages for my forums and links to other sites if that helps.

Physically create a directory called "forums", and move all the existing files and directories into it. Then log into your Admin CP and change the site URL setting (as above).
