Hi there. I read the annuncement, and I hope the category is right, else do what you want :)
The website url is http://it.tnntp.com/
It's a edited version of the vbulletin's archive, posts come from usenet.
The problem is that when i show a big category (like this (http://it.tnntp.com/cat/6)) it takes long time to load. Threads (like this (http://it.tnntp.com/leggi/1078478)) loads istantaneally; server is a dedicated "not too old one", Pentium 4 3Gh, 2GB ram.

Can i do something to decrase the long load times?

Thanks!

Yes, this thread or index. Problem is in forum. (for example this link (http://it.tnntp.com/cat/6)).
Are we talking of the same think? :)

Took 6.94 seconds to load the link for me.

Try moving the large mass of page numbers under the content?

Well you are using a modified version of a vB script, getting data from an external source. How can anyone here know what is wrong. None of us use the same modified script or the same external data.

Data isn't taked from external source, it is imported. This is different. It doesn't make difference, it is exactly like a standart archive. When i surf on the archive, the unedit archive, than i go to something like http://myforumbase/archive/index.php/f-6-p-642.html, it take long time to load. It isn't due a my edit, or due the usenet import, i think.

But, if you think it is important, i can post the forum.php script (edited from index.php in the vbulletin archive) that generate these heavy pages.
