Side Bar Help - Why Can't it be so simple?

I've been searching for ages but can never find one!

I'm looking for a side bar/column to sit on the left hand side of every forum page.

Is their one which actually exists and works properly?

USC is limited in what can be put in the columns. For instance, you can't move the login form into it.

I didnt see mention of login block in original question, sorry.

USC can display almost anything you want, pretty sure the login block could be moved into it tho. Bit a bit of fiddling
