automatic demotion ?

ok we have a usergroup called 'non-contributing members'... that we dump members who have not been active in a certain time into,

but we do this manually, is there any way of automatically demoting members ? ive been looking at promotions but all that seems a positive thing?

I need to automatically change members primary usergroup if they have not been on the site for say 2 or 3 months?
