Is it possible to ammend or delete this message?

it appears when you visit the forum and are not registered or logged in. I Would like to ammend or remove it due to I allow guest posting on my forum

AdminCP > Languages & Phrases > Search in Phrases > search for something from that message such as "To start viewing messages"

That will bring up the phrase that you look for, which in this case is the phrase "first_visit_message". If you edit that phrase, you'll get what you want.

Or just remove it from the FORUMHOME template.
