hello
I have a forum running @ www.kgb-hosting.com/forum and I have problem with bots, they seem to be too smart for human detection that forum has

please is there eny mod can protect me from bots being registered?
example it gives 10 images and 5 same pictures must be marked to be able to register ?

What Human Verification system are you using? Also, if these bots are human-assisted, any verification you throw at them won't work.

you want to install the Is Bot Mod, That will automaticall stop 99.9% of bots as it looks at the speed which registrations occur. an excellent mod and one which works great on my forums.

Then you want to try one of the other mods that allows you to ask questions and only allow registration if the answer is correct.

Theres so much you can do to prevent bots from registering, now theres no excuse :D

yes you do, read the thread

it stops registrations based on the timezone selected, the vast majority of bots select GMT-12, which is uninhabited so no legitimate user will likely select it

Very true, you can'tbe fussy about what you want when your trying to stop the bots, either you want to stop them full stop or not :rolleyes:
