Every year I ask myself, isn't there a variable that would update the year each year?
Like the phrase
vBulletin Version {1}<br />Copyright ©2000 - {2}, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.

And update any forms you use on your site that have the year in them. (Already done!)

I'm waiting until midnight as I've nothing better to do.:D
The idea of a variable to do it is good. I'll watch with interest

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but if someone could explain why this doesn't work.
I thought if I made my own phrase that I could insert it in the footer.
Since the phrase vbulletin_copyright = vBulletin® v{1}, Copyright ©2000-{2}, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
I thought I could create a phrase forum_copyright = Copyright ©1999-{2}, my domain
Then somewhere below $vbphrase[powered_by_vbulletin] add $vbphrase[forum_copyright]
This way I wouldn't need to change it each year.
And to make it a full fledged mod, create a plugin that would add the phrase to the footer.

1996 328ti here is what I did and it wasn't much of a hassle...;)
I hope this isn't considered "useless clogging"
Just edit the phrase, something like this....

The beauty is in its simplicity. Just edit the existing phrase. Duh!
Thanks and Happy New Year!
