:D

my Chicago/Photography Forum :)

www.chicagophotoshop.com/forums

I was going to change skins but decided against it. LeatherMan is here to stay. what do you think? also, maybe if someone wants to take a little time and poke around to see features, cool too.

thanks all

Either your header and footer need to be wider to match the body, or you need to shrink the body content area down to fit within the header and footer widths.

Its a pretty nice skin other wise

thanks for that. I'm in the process of changing skins to something more that looks like vb blue. just got so many hacks!

I actually like that skin a lot.

I rate you a 6 my highest rating of the sites I have viewed yet. A couple lines of code or a bit of graphics could sew that skin on up and at least you have a professional skin if it is not the best one it still is not bad.

You are more than ready now. I rate this 8+ at a glance and possibly more if I had time to look more.

You are very welcome and I have not taken time to visit your forum indept due to spending 12 hours a day coding ours up and getting the graphics for it complted.

Do you do photo equipment and supplies please or just about photography in Chicago?

We are building a dedicated small photo studio specific to professional photographing our hats but are not quite there but have most of the equipment just the room not done. If your forum offers things for us I will come join you.

I struggle with this because I feel I'm almost limited because of my domain name. Ideally, I'd like to develop into a comprehensive photography forum. my forum is part of my Chicago Photography website...www.chicagophotoshop.com. my goal is not to have this as a "Chicago Photography" forum, but turned out that way because I live in Chicago and enjoy Photography :)

is there a forum in my photography forum that you'd like to see? as someone interested in photography, what forum(s) do you feel are missing?

and trust me, I know some are missing, but with only 10-15 active posters, its a slow process expanding. your feedback is much appreciated.

I am sorry I have not had time to look yet in the forum. I suggest you may wish to get a new domain name and if you are branding free contact VB for options to set it up under the new domain name and then you can also do a redirect link from one to the other and have the server to park and mirror the one domain to the other if you wish identical content but a new url friendly name. You can also just get a url redirect if you wish and while I forget exactly how they work, some one here will know or a google search will tell you or Go Daddy or some one and you can have like My Photography.com or what ever but it will then take them to your real domain under alias and you can represnt any part of the USA or universe then. Many options available. You got the right start however to get a fantastic looking forum going and then network for members.

Look at some of the others here that ask for critiques and have untold membership numbers and then completely novice, unfinished or crappy looking forums.

LOL, I work for a trading company. so I'm into that stuff. I know its not relevant to my site, but I look at it sometimes. I also have a news & politics forum, so some might see something there and decide to talk about it.

I dont think it actually scares people away, most probably just ignore it

Thanx - I designed the logo - It's great working with Jeff.
The leatherman skin is a 100% AWESOME style! Great look & easy on the eyes my Friend!
One suggestion if I may - Consider adding a link to your main site page - either that sweet flash intro at http://www.chicagophotoshop.com OR the http://www.chicagophotoshop.com/index_new.php page. May want to add it as the first link, top navbar ;)
