Hi there!

I am currently running vBulletin 3.7.4 Patch Level 1 on one of our sites: http://www.fishtankforums.com

We are currently running an issue with BBCode. For some weird reason, BBCode is broken and will not work on that website. I have gone into AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> BB Code Settings and made sure that all BB Code is enabled, but still no luck.

You can view the problem by clicking on any threads. Here is one for example:

Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time!

Sorry if I posted in the wrong area.

However, I was wondering if anyone would still be able to give me a helping hand with the broken BBCode on the site.

I have tried a new template, disabled all plug-ins, and it is still having the same issues. I do believe that quotes are working, however, I don't think that the URL, IMG, etc. tags are working.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Create a new style with no parent - Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style > no parent - then browse the page using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

I just tried your suggestion. However, the BBCode is still broken as you can see here:

Please let me know what else I can do.

It almost looks like you have it disabled. Check the permissions in the usergroup manager > usergroups > sig permissions and also in vboptions > bb code settings (I think you said you already checked that).

Try disabling your plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

I went ahead and checked both sets of permissions. They both appear to have BB Code enabled. I am not seeing anything that stands out as strange as well.

I went ahead and tried this as well. Still no luck when I restarted the image page. Any other suggestions? It is just so weird that BBCode just "magically" broke on the site. Thanks again in advance Lynne.

I am kinda out of suggestions. You may want to put in a Support Ticket over at vb.com
