Some minor code updates have been applied today.

* Graphics Tab added.
* Style Tab changed - now only goes to styles forums.
* Latest Articles added to homepage.
* Articles listed at bottom of modifications list in user profile.
* Tag/Untag Modification added as (ajax) option on main modification post.
* Style Colour and Width options now in footer of page.

As a result of the changes, everyone will default to the blue style, fixed width format (950px) - you can quickly change back to the colour of your choice (and full width if desired) by using the new footer options.

Very nice :)

I tried to put it back to 760px but it stays on 950px. Is This just me or is this by design?

Those options no longer work and have been removed, there are only two choices, fixed (which is 950px) or wide (which is 100%).

Installed (0) is actually correct, tho I supposed its a bit pointless. I'll add some conditionals when I have a moment.

With the extra tabs, either way it stretches wider than my browser window. I can't see any reason it doesn't collapse smaller than it does.

Are modifications in the Graveyard supposed to have the Supported graphic twice, or is that just a fluke? https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=199836

Do you have any stats about users' resolutions here? I'd love to know the most used screen resolution the site is being surfed with?

I'd love if we still had the width options on User CP. The current fixed version is to narrow and the wide stretches 100 % across the page.

Just a suggestion to have width options as we use to have before.

Thanks

Yes it does, works fine for me.

For December ;

1. 1024x768 25.52%
2. 1280x1024 18.70%
3. 1280x800 16.81%
4. 1680x1050 11.62%
5. 1440x900 10.04%
6. 1920x1200 4.69%
7. 1152x864 3.60%

That would support my request of changing the fixed width to 800px or 750px, as for most of the users (using 1024x768) both options will give the same result.

The updates are great man.

Now I don't have to go through different menus to tag stuff.

Could we maybe in the future get a black or smoke color to chose from.

I hate the style changes, people should leave well enough alone with the styles here. Everytime there is an update it gets worse.

I've been around these sites since long before the vBT vB.org merger. Everytime some style update goes though it seems to make the site less userfriendly and more complicated.

The current style is bland and hardly a variation of the default. I don't understand why we couldn't just leave the CSS based color changes in seperate styles and leave it via the profile system. Instead of this complicated clunky new footer style chooser that most people haven't even noticed yet.

Further you changed the fixed with from something normal (760) to 950, which looks far to wide.

Doesn't 1024x768 mean 1024px wide since most monitors are wider than they are tall. Correct? That would mean the current 950?px width would adequately fit the 1024px majority of users.

lol, the only thing I disagree with is the width complaint. I browse from a 22in. monitor so the site looks better to me!

I use a 20" and a 17" dual screen setup, I rarely browse full screen. I prefer a small fixed width style for readablity.

I personally think the updates are a step in the right direction. That said, the changes here are always done with major flaws and i can only assume that because only one person makes these updates/implementations the flaws will always be there. This is where staff should collaborate and specialists in all departments should be working together when updates are done. From a designers stance, the styles and colours are terrible. The updates are flawed esp when tuning into fixed FM. The styles are all over the shot and not uniformed. Like i said, the updates I feel are in the right direction but they haven't been thought about very well.

It needs to be a team effort with a team that is specialized in the areas so we have a more user friendly visually appealing update.

Well, you know what happens when too many cooks are fixing the broth. Besides, coders seem to be fond of these minimalist styles.

I'm all for minimalistic styles, I'm referring more on the colours and the fact that there isn't any balance between High vibrancy tone colours and subtle based colours. It's, you'll be blinded so live with it.

I find that the "too many cooks fixing the broth" is a way of saying that you cannot collaborate with the team your are working with. And, last time i check, the staff do give the old age reply when people are suggesting is "staff are in talks". Anyway, I made the suggestion in the feedback area.

What about, two pairs of hands are better than one? Or have we forgotten that. Anyhow, yeah, let's go with that and see what happens.
