Mass PM Social Group Members

I have coded this addon for the users requested on this thread (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=196138).

This products lets forum administrators and group founders send mass pm to the group members. Do not forget to enable via AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> vBulletin Options -> Mass PM Social Group Members. Option to send the PM to users who don't wish to receive private messages is only available to the forum administrators. I have tested it on vBulletin 3.7.x and it works fine.

I installed it and have one issue. Every registered user (not even member of some group) can send PM to all members of any public or moderated social group (not only administrators or group's creator). I am using vB 3.7.2 PL2.

...but I discovered another issue. PM is sending to all members of specific social group and also to:
1. registered users that are waiting for approval to be members of moderated group
2. registered users that were invited to the group (but are not members so far)

as long as they are the founder of the social groups, yes they can. otherwise there is no point to let moderators send mass pm to the social groups' members.

Where can I set permissions to usergroups?

This isn't working for me for some reason. After I click on the "Mass PM Group Members" link, I only get the field to enter the title of the message, but the text editor is missing. Also, the community link on the navbar on the mass pm page doesn't work. And I can't find where you can change the usergroup permissions for this MOD.

Okay I got this working. I reinstalled a fresh copy of vBulletin 3.8 and then installed the product. However, I still can't find where to edit permissions. Also, would it be possible to be able to save a copy of sent messages that are sent to all members of a social group?

As for the usergroup permissions...I don't think there are any. Someone asked earlier of Mod's could use this too but global mods & mods don't need to do this unless they're the group owner. Otherwise this is simply for the group owner.

But I did notice when you're on the Mass PM Social Group Members page none of the Navbar menu drop down links work.

Also I'm wondering if the fact PM's are being sent for members awaiting approval & invited members who haven't decided to join yet has been fixed yet.

Also I'm wondering about a "save a copy" option.

You have to first enable the MOD.

Also, if you have the vB Post Templates MOD installed, it could be conflicting with this MOD. With both MODs installed the editor doesn't come up when clicking on the link to send message to group members. I disabled it and now the editor comes up.

All my members (who are group creators) are currently reporting that they are unable to use the system, as they receive a vBulletin "access denied" message. As an administrator, I can use the feature, but it doesn't seem anybody else can.

Is this some sort of permissions bug in the plugin?

In the plugin, Find:

Replace:

Go in the ACP ---> Plugin & Products ---> Plugin Manager ---> Mass PM Social Group Members - Cache Template (EDIT)

and put the following code at the end ... :) this cache the templates ... however there is another trouble in this hack ... when you select to send a PM to the users the 'Community' Link doesn't work ... :(

Any possibility to make it so that messages PM's to members dont trigger email notification of the pm? Domains can get blacklisted as spammers if the group leader sends out too many pm's to people who have email notification enabled.

Does anybody realize how to add a footer disclaimer to this Private Messages only? I mean... I do not want the social group owners to spam users, and also I want some note in the footer that clearly specifies that this PM was received due to the subscription on <name> Social Group. I think adding some text to the PM prior to the send process would make the trick... but not sure how to do it.
