Animation GIF's Not Working?

Hi i'v been having problems with my members being able to use GIF's in there avatars. I went to user groups and i have

Can Upload Custom Avatars
Can Upload Animated Avatar

Both checked as yes does anybody know what the problem is? when they upload GIF it just shows the picture and it wont move at all.

Are they within the dimensions, if they are resized they could loose animation.

so ur saying it has to be the right size for it to work?

If they're resized upon upload, vB won't resize each and every frame in the amination, it will just resize the starting (or ending?) frame.

correct, if they are over the avatar size limits, they will be resized by vbulletin and lose animation

you can resize animated gifs there first for free, then upload as avatar
