Hello,

Today i came across Server Settings and Optimization Options ( vBulletin Options -> Server Settings and Optimization Options )

I found Cached Posts Lifespan (Number of days to maintain a cached copy of a post. This makes threads faster to display, but means that each post takes approximately twice the storage space. )

Just want to know if you guys have enabled it ? If yes then which space this feature occupy ? From database or root ?

Thanks!

It'll occupy more database space :)
Worth enabling too, 6-10 days cache should be fine.

Okay :) But after 7 days .. all information is automatically removed from database right ?

Posts that have been cached long than the set timespan will be cleaned up automatically. That is the whole point of the option. :p

When the post is requested again after the cache has expired, yeah, ofcourse the cache will update if the post is updated before then.

Depends on the size of the forum and activity level.

For small not so active sites, i usually leave it around 60-90 days, for larger more active sites, I generally set it to around 30
