I have a few questions about RSS feeds, answer any that you can, please...
What templates do I need to edit to get more than just the title and a link? I searched for templates with words like rss, description, etc in the titles but didn't find anything.
Do most sites allow for their feeds to be posted in forums?
Is it bad to have the check timer set too low? It defaults to every 30 minutes but would it be better to do it less often if it isn't anything that needs updating that often?
When something gets posted, is there a way for you to figure out which feed it came from? So that if something gets posted that shouldn't be, you can tweak the right feed to weed out those results in the future.
Thanks!

1. Admin CP > RSS Feed Manager > edit your feed > Body Template
2. If they have a feed, then my guess is they allow it. But, take a look on the site where you get the feed, they may have a statement regarding it.
3. I have a feed that posts the Word of the Day. I do not check that feed every 30 minutes, I check it twice a day (in case the word isn't posted at the same time every day). So, you should watch the feed and see how often it feeds content and then set the time on it based on that.
4. You could put the feed name in the Title Template and see instantly where it's from. Or post the name of the feed in the Body Template. Either of those places would do what you want.

Thanks for the answers, Lynne.

Arg... One of the best feeds I've found requires some sort of licensing agreement... I don't have the money for something like that...
Anyway, another question...
For the search terms, can I assume that putting multiple words in double quotes would work as a single term? I'm looking for dirt bike but the space between the words would treat it as two separate terms.

I really don't know as I've never used that feature. This is what it says in the little Help popup:
Search Items for Words
You may specify a list of words and phrases here with which to search the items from an RSS feed.
Separate each word or phrase with a space or a new line.
Phrases that contain spaces may be used by surrounding them with double quotes.
If any of the words or phrases listed here are contained within the title (or the title and description if 'Search Item Body' is checked) then the item will be posted. If not, the item will be ignored.
If you select 'Match All Words' then only items that contain all of the terms and phrases will be posted.

I tried that. And that's not what mine says. Also, I don't have a 'Match All Words' option. I'm running 3.7.4.
