Notice anything wrong with this?

"** DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE **

* Automatic Monthly Reminder from vBulletin.org *

According to our records you have recently downloaded one or modifications that are not currently marked as installed."

No?

here let me point it out

"** DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE **

* Automatic Monthly Reminder from vBulletin.org *

According to our records you have recently downloaded one or modifications that are not currently marked as installed."

How it should be:

"** DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE **

* Automatic Monthly Reminder from vBulletin.org *

According to our records you have recently downloaded one or more modifications that are not currently marked as installed."

;)

Well now that you're in there, shouldn't there be a comma after "According to our records"? :p

Well maybe there's 3 reasons why nobody noticed before:
a) We trust vB.org with our eyes close
b) We live very fast lives
c) We-no totally edukated...
:D

No, the real reason is:

e) No one reads these kinds of emails about modifications.

How can a simple type report turn into a 12 post discussion?

Expect everything and nothing as the great Sherlock (fictional character) stated. "based on a true story".

How can a simple type report turn into a 12 post discussion?

i would suggest we all make a global report of the third post which leaded to this discussion...

Should a fullstop . be in a site description when there's only one sentence

Happy Holidays..

Since when should a single sentence not have a full stop at the end?

valdet

It should have a full stop, but I believe its a common thing among most website descriptions to leave it out when there's a single sentence

nexialys

when you have no full stop is because it's a tagline, not a sentence... btw, both are errors... lol drop the "Official" from the tagline so nobody will ever complaint that this site is driven by Jelsoft.. lol

No, the real reason is:

e) No one reads these kinds of emails about modifications.
Or, we don't carefully read ALL the words.
I usually read 3-4 words out of a sentence and come up with a conclusion...
