I recently moved servers. I backed up all the databases and copied over all the files, and restored the db's. Everything works fine except...

When you go to who's online it lists everyone as the same ip 172.16.10.118 and everyone that has visited the site since the move is still shown as logged in.

Any clue what has happened? It worked correctly on the old server and there have been no modifications made since then.

I am running 3.6.2 with vbadvanced 2.2.0 and many mods.

I've heard of misconfigured servers giving out the same IP for everyone, so I'd check with your host about that.

As for everyone continuing to be logged in, I'd check vboptions > cookies > session timeout and I'd also make sure your cron jobs are being run (check Scheduled Tasks).

cookie timeout was set to 900, i noticed the cookie domain was set to "blank" I have no idea if that means anything.

It appears all my scheduled tasks are running. Admittedly i don't know what they all do. There wasn't anything that mentioned online user specifically.

Do you have a test account for use? I can see your main page and the Currently Active Users list looks fine, but I can't look at the Who's Online list. (Dirty_Sanchez is a user on your site? Hmmmm :) )

Leave the session timeout as 900 and don't touch your cookie domain or path as that is all working fine on your site.

The IP thing is something I think you need to ask your host about.

test account it

test / test123

Interesting note, i tried to log out, i clicked the button, it said cookies cleared. I went to the main page and i was logged right back in.

edit: clearing browser cookies fixed this

It says that is an invalid username/password. We are talking about your forum at 315er.net/forum/ , right?

Also, you should fix it so you are always at yoursite.net or www.yoursite.net. You will have problems if you allow both. (Again, have your host do it if you don't have access to the server files to do so.)

You definietly have a problem with allowing both www and non-www on there. I went to non-www and logged in, got told Thanks for logging and and was redirected back to non-www and no longer logged in. I changed my url to www.yoursite.net and logged in, got told Thanks again, redirected to www.yoursite.net and was still logged in. Fix that and see if it fixes some of your problems.

The location is also off on your Who's Online page. It shows me as looking at showphoto.php and I'm not. It's like it's getting that info from one person and using it for everyone because when the page refreshed, it changed the photoid everyone was supposedly looking at.

Thanks for your help, i'll have to look into this more later.

It's weird that it doesn't show "test" in the who is online

I was on there. I'm no longer on the site though.
