Admin use HTML ONLY mod?

Is there any particular reason why you need to enable HTML? There is usually a BB Code replacement that can be made which will be much safer.

Yes. (If I may slightly hijack). Embedding some videos/images etc requires html.

Would like staff to be able to post items.news using html but not have it open to others.

Can't you create a BB Code that will replicate that HTML?

Perhaps, yes. It would be possible. BUT we will be tracking down news from many different sources and that would mean we'd need a BB code for each different source in order to be able to post it. Better to simply allow HTML.

Currently have it set so that anyone can post html, but would prefer if that was controlled.

Would it be too difficult to add html posting to usergroup permssions? They already exist in forum permissions so I'm thinking not.

But then, what do I know?

Can't you go into Usergroup Manager, and allow them to use HTML? Or is that just in signatures?
