To determine the # of unread threads in a forum?

We have a forum where reported posts go to, and I want to be able to count the # of unread threads in that forum (which is basically X # of unresolved reported posts)

How do you determine if it's unread? 0 views? Or do you mean unread by you?

Some forums just close the thread if it's been resolved. That gives you an easy method to quickly glance in a forum and see if any are unresolved.
