I'm curious if anyone else has this issue. My forum gets about 20 registrations a day but I would say 19 of the 20 register but do not post anything. I don't see why people would go through the hassle to register unless they planned to post something. Does anyoneone have a solution to get these members to post? I tried the force post thing and that didn't work well either.

Thanks!

do a search for a mod called "attention zero posters" it displays a message to them that their account will be removed if they don't post. 1 post removes the message.

The Notices feature of vBulletin 3.7 can do the same thing. What it can't do is automatically remove users (which you can do by using the "Prune Users" function.)

Thanks both of you. Is this a very common issue? Both forums I have developed I've had this same problem and I can't figure out why a user would signup and not post??

For the ability to PM other users who have something for sale? Assuming you have a 'for sale' forum...

To be sure they are seeing the same content that other users see?

out of 6,000 members on mine, only about 200 participate. the others are all leachers just waiting for files. Guess that's what i get for having a "free to air satellite" forum

In addition to my own forums, I also moderate another with 16000+ members. The member list shows 227 pages @ 30 members per page, with zero posts. That's 6800+ members with zero posts.

We still have a fairly active community with new threads and posts every few minutes.

Interesting. Glad to here that your forum can still be successful with this outcome. I was a little worried!
