They only host what people submit. If you feel that there is no style, then you are free to create your own and share them with everyone.

For a graphics site, you could always download it and modify for your own benefit.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and mine would be to disagree with you. We provide a good selection of styles. A lot of members put a lot of time and hard work into the styles provided here (including myself) and offer them free of charge.

Thank you

I agree with roms 100%. Members here provide styles for free and although some may not be up to your expectations, most are good to the point that they will appeal to any user that visits here or starting out. Being a graphic orientated site, wouldn't you want to create the style yourself offering your users something exclusive via your talent of being a graphic designer running a graphic site?

Judging by your comment, you will need to start digging deeper into your pockets and purchasing a style from one of the vbulletin styling providers and/or visiting another stite that provides free styles (which are in abundance). Either way, there's lot's of choices for you and also many solutions to your blandness problems.

I think he might be saying his own site has better styles than vBulletin.org or something, since I didn't quite read it as the topic creator wanting someone else to make him a style for his own foruml.

I thought as much. In anycase, I find many of the styles here are significantly superior than what the OP is using and seriously not giving the credit which is deserved to the contributors here. Judging the thousands of styles as all being bland is being a little presumptious when chances are that the OP probably hasn't viewied them all.

Granted, some are an eyesore, but they are free, and your not obligated to use them but sure have the luxury to judge. Bare in mind, peoples talents ranges. I've seen some ex commercial submitted styles submitted here which are far from being bland but i guess "blandness" here has many meanings.

Nominated for being the most constructive post in the feedback area for the month of december 2008.

There's no way to agree with the OP without sounding ungrateful to those who have put some amount of work into what they kindly share, so I won't ;)

Irony building, full story at 11.

So was sarcastic hinting suffice enough?

To be honest, there are indeed several bland styles here. But lets not forget, they are free. That's actually probably why they're listed for free. Perhaps a few users trying to get the swing of things, and donating along the way (which is very kind imo). Or maybe a designer who has a few extras he wouldn't mind donating or receiving publicity from. Regardless, you get what you pay for in life. And in reference to the designers here, I think we have a few talented ones actually. Whether they decide to use the hours and hours spent on "donations" or not.

In any case, you run a graphics forum, do you not? I've seen about 20 graphics forums in the past 2 weeks and what i can't ever seem to grasp is why a graphics forum (at least the ones I've seen) never has a custom template with - um, i don't know.. maybe some custom graphics?

Most of these graphic designers focus on making these super duper ultra cool gaming sigs, yeah fine if your into using the odd brush and the thousand filters and stock photos that are placed onto the sig. That's where designers fall short. When it comes to actually creating icons and graphics they don't know the first thing how to create more complex objects because they never actually learned the tools in the first place and come to this forum to focus on other peoples work and judge how bland styles are here.

Maybe he was on about the vbulletin.org style? because there are def some nice looking styles in the vb.org database some that can be tailored to compliment any graphic orientated site. I know, because i made a point in looking, and like i said, the styles can be adapted for any genre site you just have to look past the icons and images that the author provided in the style pack and create/apply your own stamp to the style.

Well, I'm currently making a style for a GFX site. Doesn't look very good at the moment but it is coming along. I think a slight variation of it will be released here in early January. I have another style which will be released at the same time which I think you would class as "bland". The only style that is here it too bugged for general use.
