i have a user that is requesting the following, and i quote:
a way to make a personal note that only the user could see on a thread, or mark it some how. i can never remember if i entered certain contests yet.
and
a way to favorite threads (i haven't actually looked, maybe this is here already) - so that things one might want to enter can be accessed in one place for those days when we're short on time.
this is on a small forum with 400 members, dealing with free stuff, contest and sweepstakes, etc.
i think both of those are great ideas, but i cannot find anything like that at all.
1)a custom, per-user note to be added to the threadbit in each forum, i have no idea how to even begin to implement that.
2)favorite threads (i am envisioning something similar to gmail's star system). this could be some sort of modification on thread subscription, but i really don't know.
i am far from a coder, and any advice is definitely appreciated. :)
