Group tools soubcription: email notification

I notcie that the group tools in new 3.8 social group. subscription is totally useless as there is not email notification when new message or new discussion created. It seems you have to check offen to see if new discussion is created and the subscribe to every discussion every time one is created.

I want to receive email notification for all new discussion and new message in discussion when I select subscribe in group tools.

How do I fix this so it does what it should be doing??

Can someone tell me how and where to edit the code for "Group Tools" Drop down so it takes you to another page for actually receiving email notification for when messages are left or new discussions created?? Why have a group if you never receive notification of new discussion. Thanks for the help with this. This was a huge glitch in the Groups upgrade! Should be added by vbulletin in next update!
