is there a chart/tops type of mod for vbulletin?

that can be set by the admin or even set via ratings?

i don't think i've ever seen anything like that for vbulletin.

the way they have it on billboard.com and usually use it for any other music charts.

example:
http://top40-charts.com/chart.php?cid=33
or:
http://urbmob.com/charts

I don't know. I have no idea what a "chart/tops" mod is. There are several stats mods - I'm unclear if that is what you are asking about though.

like a music charts or a top list. with the most viewed/played music, or such.

example:
www.billboard.com

OK, so a top stats mod. Do a search on "stat*" "all mods" "titles only" and check out the statistics mods that show up.

i'm sorry i wasn't making myself clear, i was on my iphone when i posted.

i don't mean a forum stats keeper, i mean a music chart.

here is an example of a vbulletin forum that seems to be integrated with a music chart system:

http://top40-charts.com/chart.php?cid=33

does anybody know what system they are using?

I guess I'm still confused. That is simply a printout of stuff in their database. Are you wanting to grab their content and put it on your website? If so, you may want to see if they have any rss feeds that will get your the content you want. Or are you saying you have the content in your own database and you want to have the content displayed like they are displaying it?

you're getting pretty close there... i want to be able to store that kind of information in a database, and have it displayed in chart format.

which is basically like a top sites list (i'm sure you've come across one of those before) which ranks the content according to individual clicks. am i making sense yet?

i think there used to be a mp3/download manager that used to feature this. and would rank the list according to downloads/plays. i just couldn't find it on vbulletin.org.

Hmmm, I haven't seen anything like you want here at vb.org nor can I recall coming across something like that. You haven't said *what* you want to put in that list - is it vb content from a thread? If it is, I would think that you might be able to incorporate something with the thread rating to do what you want.

not really, i basically want to include the information i enter there myself.

do you happen to know what software they are using for the charts on:

http://top40-charts.com/chart.php?cid=33

or does anybody know any other half way decent chart system?

I have no idea what software it is, you could always write them and ask. It isn't that hard to write things to a database and then just spit them out into a table like that. The 'fun' part is counting the 'votes' and making sure no one can vote twice and putting a stop date for when the voting ends. A bit of a challenge, but doable I would think.

Sorry, no, the only modifications I write are ones that I need on my site. I barely have time for that.

that's too bad.

apparently there's also nobody else here even interested in it.

i guess that's another mod request, that turns to dust.

Check out 'Links and Downloads Manager (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=166094)'. It might be a bit over the top but if you configure it right it should do what you want :)
I use it to host dj mixes on my site. Users can vote and comment on their favourite mixes. The same concept can be applied for hosting links.

good luck!
