How to build site around forum

Hi , Can anyone tell me how can i create site around forum . I wanted to create forum as a tab in my site with profile page as the index/home page .

Its impossible for us to give you such instructions as we didnt build your site and dont know how it handles the tabs, and all the other information you failed to provide doesnt help any.

Just create a link to the forums would be my guess.
