Credit goes to zylstra (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=174769) on this one. Unfortunately his mod hasn't worked for a while since human verification for guests was introduced. It was an easy fix so here's a working version.

Installation


Upload the product XML file to your adminCP.
In your SHOWTHREAD template find:
<div class="smallfont">$vbphrase[message]:</div>


Above it place:


<if condition="$bbuserinfo['userid'] == 0">
$usernamecode
$human_verify
<br />
</if>

Q. The quick reply box isn't showing for guests
A. Make sure your forum permissions are set up correctly to allow the unregistered/not logged in usergroup to reply to threads in that forum.

I installed this on VB 3.7.5, everything work great. I was happy :)
However, I installed VB 3.8 and now the human verification is not showing up.
I understand this mod is for VB 3.7.x only.
Any ideas on how to get it to function again?

It's because the human verification system code changed completely in vB3.8. I might update it if I get some time, but don't bank on it :)
