Is there any hack that can show local weather in vbulletin?

Dozens probably. It just depends on what you want to show and where. Maybe start by looking into Side Columns or VBAdvanced.

Can you point to these dozens? I've looked and could only find old one for 3.6

<a href="https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=175181" target="_blank">Side Columns</a> is certainly working in 3.7.

Side Columns (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=175181) is certainly working in 3.7.
how about the other dozens? ;) side columns is quite alot more then a simple weather hack.

The OP just asked if it was possible, they never specified how it was to be done.
I have a free weather thingie on my homepage from Accuweather, so the first thing I thought of was a simple way to paste that HTML code into the forum. Those two examples popped to mind, as both offer a way to do that.
Perhaps you're looking for a robotic RSS feed post? Or a banner ad mod (most allow HTML code)? You need to get creative.

Interesting. Yes, I see it requires several functions on the server, you may want to write your host and ask if you have (or can get) those.
Keep us advised. If it's a simple mod to install (and it works), I'll try it myself for a while.

Look over at the vbadvanced forums, there was a thread I think with a couple of xml type feeds that woudl give you a simple graphic with the weather in it. You could use a profile field for the zip.
There's also an awesome weahther program, weatherbug I think, and I think someone had a vb integration for it at one point.
Sorry I dont have links, I am going off memory when I searched this a while back.

I dont think that mod is supported anymore and no one has chimed into the thread for my question. its a damn shame, you'd think a weather mod would be readily available, but its certainly not. :(

found a paying option - vbweather. how good it is? i dont really know. im not from the states
I wouldn't bother with the vbweather module
I've just tried to go and get it with a view to adding it to several stes.
The problem is you can't view screenshots until you register. Then when you register you have use the awful character recognition (got it wrong three times) AND complete a question about who the administrator is...which obviously hardly any visitor willl know without going and looking for it on the main site
Once you've registered you have to find the link for the product, and I didn't find it. You can't PM the admin. There's no email link, and when you post you have to wait for it to be moderated. Looks like no-one answers the hello threads
I've never seen anthing like it on any vb site. It's not at all customer-focused and it makes me wonder if the product and aftersales will be just the same
