Security mods please HELP!

Hi my forum keeps getting lots of problems.... People who do not like me keep downloading loads of bandwidth from me and it is costing me a large sum of money and I can't afford for my site to be down!

is there are mods against bots spiders ddos attacks etc?

I really want some help against these things! I am very worried :(:mad::(

I think the php file is vbshout is there a way to limit its bandwidth usage?

There are no mods that block ddos attacks. Bots and Spiders are just things sent to your site from search engine sites like google and yahoo, etc. If you don't want them to check out your site, you may put a robots.txt file in your folder (do a search on robots.txt).

shoutboxes/chats use lots of bandwidth. If possible, limit the use to only registered users. If you need help modifying that modification, you will need to ask in the modification thread.

is there any mods or anything where it blocks someone out if they download more than persay 300mb in one day?

I am totally unfamiliar with vbshout, so I have no clue what that error is about. You may ask in the modification thread and see if they can help.

When you say limit their download, you are not talking about downloads of attachments but actual bandwidth, correct? If so, I know of no mod to do that.

its from VBshout mode , replace it with this mode its really better for everything spcialy the Bandwith issue :D i had install it at 2 sections under same domain and its run with no problem ever
