i have created a guest corner at my forum where i can encouarge guests to give feed back without fearing that their ideentity is known.
i am also going to achieve the target of converting guests into registered users.
the problem is, i dont know how to grant the guests "making and posting threads" option.
could someone please guide me?
thank you

You need to edit Usergroup permissions for "Unregistered / Not Logged In" in the new forum you have created.
AdminCP > Forums & Moderators > Forum Permissions ...

but the permissions set here are the permissions that the user can view threads etc. that i already have given.
i want them to be able to write and make threads as well. i have already disabled number of posts counter to be affected by any posts made in this forum.
if i change their permission in their respective group, then they can write or make threads in other categories/forums too. so i was looking for some method here that allows me to give them the right to post and make threads in a single particular forum....
i know that there is included in the system and no requirement for a mod or a hack, but i simply couldnt figure out what it is and how it is done:(
