Paid Subcriptions or Donations

Does your site make more off Paid Subscriptions or from Donations?

I actually have not used any of them as I think you need something to make people want to pay you

I'd like to know too. I just put up a donate link and received $75 from 3 members.

I don't yet have paid membership, but am implementing that soon.

This is a topic of discussion in our Admin backroom right now. We have almost 4,000 members, I host with The Planet (reliable and fast = pricey), and there are several things we'd like to implement without digging into our (my) pocket. Donations seem to be the way we are leading.
