When i go into any members public profile, i can't see the visitors message, about me, statistics, friends and contact info tabs. It shows as a drop down menu instead. Nobody is going to know to click the two little >> for the drop down menu. Anyone know how to change it?

If you have too many tabs, then some get put under the >> drop down menu. Did you add a bunch of tabs to your page? Maybe you need to combine some of them.

I didn't add any.

If your forum is fixed width, some of your tabs are going to be hidden to make space.

The are all hidden though.

Are you using a custom style? Make sure the closing style HTML in the footer is aobve the javascript at the end of that template rather then below it. The bit of javascript in the footer template should be the last thing at the bottom of the template.

Hmm, i haven't touched the footer. I'm trying to remember the last thing i did or installed before this happened. Keep the ideas coming.

You wouldn't have necessarily touched the footer if you have a custom style. A lot of these style designers aren't aware of the 3.7 issue yet..

Create a new style with no parent - Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style > no parent - then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

We just tinkered with some colors. We aren't using a skin.

A link to your site with the default style would help.

Have you tried reuploading the member.php page?

Have you tried disabling your plugins?
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

Couldn't he just disable them in his Admin CP, or is that only in the 3.7 series?

I can disable them in 3.7.4 the same was as 3.6.8 through the manage products function.

I will try it. Thanks.

I re-uploaded the member.php.
I tried disabling all hacks, still nothing.
Here's a link to my profile if it helps:

Just out of curiosity, can we see your footer template code?

Okay, just checking.

It looks to me like your vBStatus code is where it shouldn't be. I remember moving this on someone elses forum because it was inside the head tags where it shouldn't be.

Try going through each of these errors one at a time and see if that fixes things: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mitsu-media.com%2Fmember.php%3Fu%3D1&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&ss=1&group=0&user-agent=W3C_Validator%2F1.606

I'm sure this isn't the problem, but you should take a look at your page source for problems like this one - your images/misc path is wrong:

var SESSIONURL = "";
var SECURITYTOKEN = "guest";
var IMGDIR_MISC = "http://www.mitsu-media.com//images/misc";

Reupload a default version of /clientscript/vbulletin_tabctrl.js I was looking at your tabs in firebug and it's giving strange dimensions for it which is probably why they aren't showing.

Really? Everything in red is an error?
Whoa.

Digital Jedi

Hey, you only have 31. That's a good thing, actually. Sometimes one error cascades to many others. So fixing them on at a time can correct a bunch of others. First time I checked my site I had over 600. :eek:

BobbyDiesel

Call me a nub, but for that code you ran, what template is it under?

Digital Jedi
11-30-2008, 04:29 PM
It's probably under multiple templates. Turn on vBulletin Options >>> General Setting >>> Add Template Name in HTML Comments and then when you run the validator, make sure Show Source is ticked. That way you can determine what line of code is coming from where.
