My friend wants to move his site to my host, how can I backup his forum so all members, posts, threads, sections, all that are saved, and will remain the same when it's reuploaded?
Do I only need the database backup vbulletin.sql file?

Someone is also threatning to hack this site unless he remains admin, but we don't want him as an admin. But he owns the current hosting. So we need to back it all up.

I only have access to FTP, and the AdminCP.
How can I do it from there?
Or from cPanel, I'll get my friend to do it...
and also, how would I reupload it to another site?

Here are some links in regards to backing up the database/restoring the database:
From the manual:
Backing Up The Database via SSH/Telnet (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/../docs/html/maintenance_ssh_backup) or
Backing Up The Database via phpMyAdmin (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/../docs/html/maintenance_phpmyadmin_backup)
Restoring The Database via SSH/Telnet (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/../docs/html/maintenance_ssh_restore) or
Restoring The Database via phpMyAdmin (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/../docs/html/maintenance_phpmyadmin_restore)
If you don't have shell access, some people have also reported success with these scripts:
MySQLDumper (http://www.mysqldumper.de/en/index.php)
MySQLHotxcopy (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=134821&highlight=mysqlhotcopy)
Bigdump (http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php)
Don't forget that if he has attachments or avatars, etc, stored in the filesystem, then you need to backup those also.
And read this in the manual - Moving Servers (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/moving_servers)

Ugh, shit, too late. It was hacked.
All I have is the vbulletin.sql file. My friend just MIGHT have backed it up though.
