Help with PM css [Archive]

If you look at that link. On the top corner the square is grey. How do I make it the same color as the background with white text.

Remove the class alt2 from the top line here:

You've got other problems with that template also. It has both the login form and the Welcome Unregistered showing. You've goofed somewhere with a condition.

thanks lynne i now have the background, but not the text color. It is still black.

Try adding:
style="color: white;"to the <tr> tag that surround that text. If that doesn't work, you may have to add it to each <td> tag.

Is there something that overrides the CSS? I see the text is temporarily white, and then gets changed to a grey after a second.

Probably the css that is 'closer' to the actual text is overriding the white. That's why I suggest the <tr> tag and then if not, something closer like the <td> tag.

OK, well, I quoted that part of the template in my last post and as I said, you did not add the css to change the color to white to the row or column tags.

I added it to the td tag in this code to show examples for when the style tag is already there and another where you need to add it, but you can try it in the tr tag first.

I'm not sure how to help you now because it looks just fine in my browsers (firefox and safari), except for your username which I think you would have to edit the phrase to get right.

Yes, most of it is fine except the personal message part, notifications and username text. Basically all links are black.

I can't see that stuff cuz I'm not logged in, but I'm pretty sure they are all phrases so you'll have to go edit the phrases.

I know you probably don't want to hear this, but a lot of this may have been avoided by sticking to only css in your style. You added in the bgcolor for the cells (and your body) instead of adding a class, or using the existing classes for those tags, that had everything all defined - background color, font colors, link colors, etc.

You either find the name of the phrases in the template or just go to Search in Phrases and put in part of the phrase ("welcome,") and it should find the phrase for you.

This is using CSS. The font tag is deprecated. You should use css instead of html style tags since most are deprecated.
