Finally, vBMA Version 2 has been released.

vB Members Area is a member management system, that enables your users to get their own customer number and password. They can then login to the system and purchase / download products that you specify. Each product that they purchase will be issued a unique licence number.

Before your members can download your products, they are required to edit their licence details to include the URL that the product will be installed on.

Due to the product having a seperate login system, your forum login will not work. This makes the modification more secure and will allow for you to delegate what users can access the mod.

What has changed between version 2 and the Beta Versions?
We have got rid of the install procedure, so all that is needed now is a product import. Along with this, there is no activation / validation procedure. There have been many more backend features. Users can now also sell their own products and get the money for it, by having an admin setup their product in the ACP along with the users paypal address in that product settings page.
Is there a PRO version?
Yes. Please do not discuss that here at vb.org as this is a free modifications site. Check out our homepage for this discussion.
Final Note
If you have vBMA Beta Versions installed on your board, please uninstall fully. Remove all the files and the products and any template edits, then please install this product. Please also note that any products you have set up, will be lost, so you will have to reset them again.

We have security features on there that only allow SUPER admins access to the vBMA admin section.

This is to make sure that only the real trusted people get access to member information (the people who are super admins in the config.php file)

If trying to remove access to vBMA via ACP, please do it via administrator permissions :)

Which version of vBulletin are you using?

I would suggest removing everything, and then re-importing the product and file uploads again.

Since my payment method system has 10 and about to have 20+ methods I don't want to be restricted to only accepting paypal if you know what I mean.

At the mo, it only accepts our payment methods, which is paypal, but due to myself not liking paypal either, we will definately be adding more to it in the future.

Ok so everything runs smoothly, and works perfect, except when i go to download the actual product. I have the product in the files folder on my server root, and i gave myself a license for it, and i setup the product in the product manager, but when i go to download the file, it just gives me the name of the file with the license number but does not give me the file it downloads but its 0kb and its nothing. can you please help.

This issue has now been resolved.
It turned out that the servers were being moved to a new data centre which made it unreachable for a few days and then there were some issues with DNS

Members can get their customer number by buying a product. You can setup a product for 0.00 to purchase to get their customer number.

There is no feature, neither one planned to enable vBMA without logging in. We have had this for security and to make it look authentic. We won't be doing it without a login based system.

I was selling something at ?20 gbp, But when the page went to paypal, it was only asking for $20 US Dollars.
Any ideas why currency isnt transferring to Paypal.
Solution

Look in includes/class_vbma.php around line 88:

'NIS');

Change the red bits to your currency. Ie ? and GBP.

Why do i keep getting error code 1 when trying to upload a product?

Solution
make a new file called php5.ini with the following lines of code in it.
upload_max_filesize = 20M ;
post_max_size = 20M ;
max_execution_time = 60 ;

Now upload it to your websites root directory, ie public_html, and NOT your forums root directory.
By default, your server will only allow files below 2MB to be uploaded. This little file over rules that, and allows 20mb files to be uploaded.

Hope this helps with any issues you may have.

You don't need the folks at vBCredits to give you permission to access a single database field in the user database !

If you want to integrate with vBCredits, all you have to do is read and write with one database field in the user table, and the database belongs to the forum owner, not vBCredits !!!!!
