Removing confirm email/pass on registration.

Does anyone have experience with removing the confirm pass/email fields on the registration form or know of a way to disable them? Also, has any one tried moving the registration form to another section of vb? I would like create something in the header with User:, Pass:, and a Sign Up button to simplify the registration process.

I came across that one yesterday, but it isn't quiet what I'm looking for. I want to be able to remove the confirm fields so there's a total of 2 fields to fill and a submit button.
