Clickable list in a post...how do I?

We need to post a list of abbreviations/acronyms on our board. We'd like to make it a "clickable" list, similar to this (http://http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=194852). When we attempt it (using the codes in that post) it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

You are attempting to post html into a thread like in that link (which is incorrect, btw)? Perhaps you should post the code you wrote and then an image of what the result was.
