For some reason, the font that says Members Online Today and the number of members is not showing up. How do I fix that?
Other than that, great mod. Thanks a lot.

Hi Paul,
Do you plan on updating this one for VB4, or is it one of those that's now built in and not needed?
Thanks muchly :)
Dave.

Same question as Megatr0n have, i uninstalled and installed the plugin again but it it had no result. Thanks in advance.

No, there is no way to do that.

Okay thank you for answering the question but it automaticly create a new question. The record info is stored somewhere in the mysql database as a number? Because after reinstalling the plugin the record is restored. I like to reset it because i have my doubts if the record is correct and have now a very high record but actually no members only bots.
Paul M
03-08-2010, 10:38 AM
It is stored withing the datastore, with a lot of other information, there is no easy way to reset it, unless you are familiar with how that works, and exactly what you are doing. It is beyond the scope of support in this thread Im afraid.

I'm using an OLDER version of this mod that was built for vB 3.5, it's still working on my 3.8.5 board. The older version has the "Who Visited - On a new page" option, which I like and noticed that this mod doesn't have.
Is there any reason to upgrade to this from the 3.5 version, less server resource intensive or something?
Paul M
04-11-2010, 08:47 PM
The WVT on a new page option was a seperate modification, using my code (with my permission). I cannot remember who did it.
If its working for you then there is no real reason to upgrade.

Hi there
In my forum, if i "hover" over a username, it displays something like this:
"Today, H:i"
My forum is a spanish forum, so i don't know if it has something to do with this.

Got a quick question for you...just setup a new forum today and I know that there have been five people who registered, however, the mod is only showing three members have visited today yet shows that the most online members online in one day is five. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

I have the old version for 3.7 and want to install this one. Do I have to uninstall the old one first, then install the new one? Or can I just over 'overwrite' it?
Thanks for the this add-on.

Just install this, it will remove the old version itself.

Ive been running the 3.7 version on vbulletin 3.8 with np problems until today i noticed that the record ammount of visitors was recorded last week at 101 in 24 hours, and today its showing 318 on the 14th August ? I'm pretty certain ive not had this many people on in 1 day and why has it taken so long to update if i had. I have just installed the latest version, thx..

I could hazard a guess (if im not stepping on your toes? :)) maybe there is a mod conflict, have you added anything new? maybe the cron scheduled settings have been changed to monthly or something.
I'm not a coder but i thought they were sensible thoughts, don't shoot me if they're not :)

This is a response from one of my moderators
I think it did as my post this morning in tab says 14th aug and it had that as the date of my last visit. I did not break it htough I think as the UKMF server was down for the first 10 mins I tried to log on. Got on, all todays date, posted then time travelled.
 seems server side anyway.. Thx for the replies.

Hi Andie,
I peaked at 223 at the end of August which was far more than my usual 50ish. I made an overdue upgrade to 3.8.6 and numbers went down to normal. Most were coming from China... What version are you running?

Hi, i'm using 3.8.5 at the moment, perhaps 3.8.6 would sort my little prob out.

How would I set this so it displays the primary usergroup HTML markup in the "who visited today" box, and not the chosen display group's markup?
Paul M
09-04-2011, 08:16 PM
You cant, it uses the standard vb function to display the user.

You cant, it uses the standard vb function to display the user.
Did it work differently in previous versions? I was using the 3.6 version for a long time, and I know I had it set so it used the primary display group instead of the chosen group display.
Paul M
09-04-2011, 11:25 PM
Nope, its never been an option. The oldest 3.0 versions used to display based on the primary group, but that was fixed in April 2005. Since then all versions (3.0, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8 & 4.0) have used display group. :)

I was positive I had it working like I described before, so I looked through my post history here and I found this post of yours, part of an exchange we had about an earlier version of this hack, back in 2008:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1499694&postcount=1099
So it is possible, apparently! I just tried that same edit and it worked (although I kept the variable $ugroup, not the $group it was then). :P
Paul M
09-04-2011, 11:59 PM
Well yes, obviously its possible if you edit the code. There is no built in method.

I got that at the top of my website. http://www.zionscape.com

You have a plugin on the forumhome_complete hook that is faulty (which is not a hook used by this).

I am a very new VB user, will this mod work with 4.2 VB?
Paul M

Its not needed in 4.2, the feature is part of the core software since 4.2.0.

Thanks for your reply but this is in vbulletin itself. I have vbadvanced already setup to disable collapse.

JFYI, if someone has theirs set to collapsed, you have removed their ability to uncollapse it.
(Although they could logout & login to reset it I guess, as its a just a cookie).
I'm also curious why you would want to remove the option.
