Newbie needs help, Styles and mods

Hello everyone!
Im a newbie at VB.

I have some problems geting my head sorted out and geting the template structure understud.
I have VB 3.7, CMps and Photoplog, photoplog thumbs installed.

I want to have a clean startpage, with photoplog?s thumbs and a cuple links.
I cant get it to work, in what "file" is de tesign for startpage in?

Below, this is something i like in design. I?m greatful for your help
