Prompt lurkers to sign up?

Is there some sort of mod which prompts users to sign up for an account?

You could restrict guests to only be able to view the first post of a thread: Guests First Post Only (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=184717).

You could also set up a notice displayed to all guests urging them to register.

Go into notices in admincp - it's pretty straight forward. You pick who sees the notices based on usergroup and various other variables.

There's a limited guest viewing mod on here too that may help.

Try the Limited Guest Viewing system, Quick Registration in FORUMHOME, and any other mods like that. They all can be found in the 3.7 Add ons thread. I use the Limited Guest Viewing system alot because it allows SEBots to crawl your site. The quick registration mod got me a lot of "wow"'s and more registrations then before. I will link you upon request.

I would like to know more about this - my web guy is no longer with me, and on one of my forums, Frontierboard.com he has a thing that follows you if your not logged in - how did he do this? I tried it on another vbulletin forum I have and nothing......

Is probably whats doing it, try placing that on your other board in the header or footer
